ADDITIVE MASTERBATCHES
ADDITIVES
Additives help improve the durability of plastic products and provide additional properties. For example, they can reduce static charge build-up and friction, improve mechanical resistance or reduce flammability.
We develop additive formulations taking into account the customer’s raw material and the desired properties of the end product. In our own laboratory, we produce a small trial batch, carry out tests and provide recommendations.

CLARIFYING ADDITIVES
Clarifying additives increase the clarity of polypropylene. Depending on the additive selected, they may also improve stiffness and resistance to deformation under heat.
ANTIOXIDANTS
Antioxidants help protect polymers from oxidation that can be promoted by high processing temperatures and conditions during product use. They help preserve the colour and mechanical properties of plastics. The appropriate antioxidant is selected according to the polymer type and production process.
MOISTURE ABSORBING ADDITIVES
Moisture- and gas-absorbing additives help reduce bubbles, porosity and other defects during plastics processing. The additive is selected according to the raw material and production conditions.
FLAME RETARDANTS
Flame retardants help reduce the ignitability of plastics and the spread of flames. They are selected according to the polymer type, product application and requirements of the applicable flammability test. A specific flammability classification is established by testing a product of the relevant composition and thickness.
ANTI-BLOCKING ADDITIVES
Anti-blocking additives help reduce adhesion between film layers, particularly when the film is wound into a roll. They create microscopic surface irregularities and reduce the contact area between layers. Additive selection takes into account the required blocking resistance and the effect on film clarity.
POLYMER PROCESSING AIDS (PPA)
Polymer processing aids (PPA) help achieve a smoother surface on films and other extruded plastic products. They reduce surface defects caused by melt flow, facilitate polymer processing and help reduce die build-up.
SLIP ADDITIVES
Slip additives help to reduce the coefficient of friction (COF) in films and other products.
STRENGTHENING ADDITIVES
Strengthening additives help improve the mechanical resistance of plastic products and reduce the risk of breakage.
FOAMING ADDITIVES
Foaming additives help form gas-filled cells in plastics, reducing product density and weight. The result depends on the polymer, additive dosage and processing conditions.
UV-ABSORBING ADDITIVES
UV-absorbing additives and UV stabilisers help improve the UV resistance of plastics and reduce colour changes, embrittlement and the loss of mechanical properties. UV absorbers absorb ultraviolet radiation and dissipate its energy as heat. HALS light stabilisers neutralise free radicals and thereby inhibit polymer degradation. Additives are selected according to the polymer type, product thickness and expected conditions of use.
TRANSPARENCY-ENHANCING ADDITIVES
Transparency-enhancing additives help improve the visual properties of polypropylene by increasing transparency and gloss in product surface.
ANTI-SEDIMENTATION ADDITIVES
Anti-sedimentation additives speed up and facilitate extrusion or injection processes.
ANTI-FOG ADDITIVES
Anti-fog additives help reduce fogging on agricultural films and food packaging films. They encourage condensate to spread into a thin, uniform layer of water rather than forming separate droplets. This helps maintain film clarity: the packaged product remains more clearly visible, while greenhouse film allows more light to pass through.
CLEANING ADDITIVES
Cleaning additives are used for the quick cleaning of extruders or injection moulding equipment when switching from one polymer or colour to another.
BEVERAGE BOTTLE CAPS ADDITIVES
These additives help make beverage bottle caps easier to unscrew.
ANTISTATIC ADDITIVES
Antistatic additives help reduce the build-up of static charge in plastic products. By lowering surface electrical resistance, they help the charge dissipate, reducing dust attraction and making materials easier to handle during production. When selecting antistatic additives for films, packaging or other plastic products, the polymer type, required antistatic performance and conditions of use, including ambient humidity, are considered.
ANTIBACTERIAL ADDITIVES
Antibacterial additives are intended to inhibit bacterial growth on the surface of plastic products. The additive is selected according to the polymer used, the product’s intended application and conditions of use.
CLARIFYING AND NUCLEATING ADDITIVES
Clarifying and nucleating additives help control polymer crystallisation and improve product properties. Depending on the additive selected, they can increase clarity and stiffness, shorten the moulding cycle and reduce warpage. This helps improve production efficiency and final product quality.
ANTI-MOULD ADDITIVES
Anti-mould additives are intended to inhibit mould growth in plastic products. Their suitability is assessed according to the polymer and the expected conditions of use of the product.
MATT EFFECT ADDITIVES
Matt effect additives create a matt finish on the product.
ANTI-SLIP ADDITIVES
Anti-slip additives increase surface friction and help reduce slipping of plastic products.
FRAGRANCE ADDITIVES
Fragrance additives are used in cosmetics and household products.
GLOSS ADDITIVES
Gloss additives help to improve visual properties, give gloss and a polishing effect.
MOULD RELEASE ADDITIVES
Mould release additives help make plastic products easier to remove from the mould and reduce sticking during injection moulding and thermoforming.
High-tech additives
MARKING AND OPTICAL IDENTIFICATION ADDITIVES
Marking and optical identification additives help identify plastic products and improve their traceability. Depending on the additive type, they can improve laser marking contrast or give the product features detectable under special lighting or with specialised equipment.
ANTI-LAMINATE ADDITIVES
Anti-laminate additives prevent LDPE or LLDPE shrink film from sticking to packaged products or PE.
HYDROLYSIS PROTECTION ADDITIVES
Hydrolysis protection additives extend the lifespan and durability of products that are sensitive to hydrolysis, such as polyesters, biopolymers, synthetic and plant esters, or polyurethane.
FLOW MODIFIERS
Melt modifiers are used to regulate polymer melt flow. The appropriate additive is selected according to the polymer type and target melt flow index (MFI).
ANTI-CORROSION ADDITIVES
Anti-corrosion additives protect packaged components from surface corrosion.
INFRARED (IR) ADDITIVES
IR additives help control heat transfer through plastic. Depending on their type and purpose, they can be used to reduce solar heat gain or limit heat loss through greenhouse film.
CONDUCTIVITY ADDITIVES
Conductivity additives are used to increase the electrical or thermal conductivity of plastic compounds. The additive is selected according to the required type and level of conductivity.
PET VISCOSITY-ENHANCING ADDITIVES
PET viscosity-enhancing additives are designed for films and containers.
LIGHT DIFFUSION ADDITIVES
Light diffusion additives help scatter light more evenly as it passes through plastics and reduce the visibility of bright light spots. They can be used in lighting covers, LED luminaire components and other light-diffusing products.
ANTI-SCRATCH ADDITIVE
Scratch-resistance additives help reduce the visibility of scratches and scuff marks on the surface of plastic products.
MIXING AIDS
Mixing aids help blend polymers and other formulation components more uniformly during plastics processing. They are selected according to the materials being mixed and the production conditions.
ADDITIVES FOR BOPP FILMS
Additives for BOPP films help tailor the properties of biaxially oriented polypropylene film to its intended use. Depending on the additive type, they can regulate surface friction or help protect the polymer against degradation caused by heat and UV radiation.
FILLERS
Fillers are calcium carbonate or talc masterbatches used in the manufacture of pipes, films and other plastic products. When properly selected, they can help improve the product’s mechanical properties, reduce deformation and lower production costs.
We select a filler according to the customer’s brief or product requirements, taking the production process into account. If needed, we promptly develop a custom formulation in our own laboratory, produce a trial batch, carry out tests and provide recommendations. For food packaging and other food-contact products, we offer fillers that meet the applicable European Union requirements. We select the product according to its intended application and conditions of use.
